I have an unweighted GPA of 2.89 and a weighted GPA of 3.166 (if I did the calculations correctly). My SAT Score (CR+Math) is 1120, and the Criminal Justice Program looks for at least a 1000.

I am involved in many extracurriculars, anywhere from sports, to diversity clubs, to drug prevention programs, including many that I am on the executive board for. I am mixed African American (South American) and White (European) and out-of-state.

I met with the associate dean of admissions/director of enrollment and she showed a lot of interest in me, and we have exchanged emails, her even congratulating me for my "outstanding SAT Scores" but I am still worried about getting in. I also sent her a thank you not for interviewing me and she said "it made my day and is sitting on my desk :)". I truly believe that this interview is what will get me in, but as I said before, I am still worried.

I did bad in freshman year, receiving 4-5 C's (out of 9 courses), but ever since then I have only received A's and B's. I have just skipped Junior Year, so my GPA is based solely on my freshman + sophomore year grades. I will also be sending in my current quarter grades, which are all A's.

I submitted my application a few days ago, and all materials are sent in (except for my quarter grades, because those are not available to send for about another week), and I have a very strong essay (according to others, and in my opinion).

P.S. - Does anyone know when I will receive an admissions decision? I have been told that I will hear around December 15th, but is there a chance I could get a decision earlier? UMass Lowell is my first choice school, so this is very nerve-racking.

All replies are appreciated! Thank you in advance!
