I am a Junior at a good public high school in Massachusetts. I really want to go to USC for Business plus Los Angeles is one of my favorite cities. USC is definitely my top choice!
I still have a year before I apply so here are my current grades
GPA: 3.97W, I don’t know my UW but my letter average is an A- (includes Fresh/Soph years), Fresh year is what is bringing it down
Junior year I am on track to get a 4.88 for the year (5.0 scale btw), which would bring my overall up to around a 4.25 (this is if I keep my current grades throughout the entire year which is possible, I don’t think it’s overly optimistic)
Average GPA of accepted students from my school is a 4.51 (based on 2 people), but not very many have applied
I am taking 4 APs this year, the only AP I have opted out of is science (Bio/Chem/Physics), otherwise I have taken close to the hardest curriculum my school offers
ACT: 33
I don’t think I need to take it again but I may be able to bump up my score a little bit if I need to because my worst section was Math but in general Math is my strongest subject (poor time management on math section)
Will be taking SAT in spring, planning on doing more prep than I did for the ACT

Started project/charity for a few remote villages in Haiti w/o electricity that raises money and brings them small solar powered devices for light
I would like to start a fundraiser/project for homeless LGBT youth in the New England area but time is tight between school, swim, and the Haiti project
Plan on getting Job/Internship next summer
Just keep working hard and make sure your essays are superb
