my essays and my recs are pretty good.....

I was actually surprised to even get deferred from UVa, from the way the people talk about the chances on this site for an out-of-stater, I figured I would get rejected. Does anyone think I have an actual chance, and does anyone know how many people usually get deferred ED at UVa and how many people get rejected?

Also does anyone think I should apply to anymore schools? I don't really want to go to any other schools other than these four, but should I have a problem getting in at least one of them? And does anyone know what my chances are at the honors program at UDel?

Thanks a lot for taking the time out to read this!
Keith

i don't want to sound anxious, but could someone please reply and tell me at least if i should apply to a few more schools, cuz I don't want to waste my parents' money on more college applications if I don't need them.

.........................

Your in at Tech, unless you're engineering, in which you're still probably in

yea, ur in tech and jmu.... i got deferred from uva also. i'm instate... ur sat is kinda low for out of stateer... only ur ec's good

WOW..im really surprised you didn't get into UVA early..I'm a junior at UVA now and my dad's on the admissions board. I really think you'll get in this spring, but you should give me your name and I'll tell my dad to help you out.

sns341.... i sent u a pm... could u reply to that? or email me at crichessill@yahoo.com
if u didnt get that.. i would like to talk to u

any more advice? would anyone say its safe to say ill get in at least one of these 4?

hey a lot of school deadlines are 2moro? Can someone please tell me if i need to apply to one more school, or if i am safe with these 4....I haven't received any acceptance letters yet and i'm just getting paranoid, so could someone give me some advide?

what are my chances at U of Delawarem JMU, UVA, and VT?

you should be in at at least one of them

anyone else...im down to a matter of hours

Why don't you apply to Rutgers or TCNJ where you could pay an in-state tuition? I think you could get into those.

i thought about applying to those...but my brother went to rutgers and when i went down there i didn't really like the area, and i don't really like tcnj either...i kinda wish i just applied to them as just-in-case schools, but i really want to get out of nj, so i figured it might just be a waste of money...

by the way, i got a thing in the mail friday from va tech. and i was nominated by the admissions committee for the honors program, but it says in the letter that they have no idea whether i will be accepted or not? ...anyone's take on this?

If you've been nominated for the honors program, you will be accepted. They are just trying to cover their rears in case there is a mixup. I don't think that you need to apply to any more schools. You will probably get into all 4, definitely into 3.

i hopee soo, thanks for responding

did anyone else who applied to va tech get nominated for the honors thing?

how hard should it be to get it, and what scholarship money comes with it?

uh.. did u apply for it? or did they send u one automatically. i dont think i qualify, but i would like it if i was eligible... for va tech honors

No i didnt apply for it, it just came in the mail on friday....you gotta fill out a yellow form by hand, make a curriculum vitae, and write an essay about your past, present and future without using the pronoun "I"....its like applying all over again

i guess i didnt qualify. whcih school are u applying at UVA?

liberal arts..u?
