I just visited some great schools and I'd love to know what some of you all think about my chances of being accepted to them. I know my scores are a little low but please chance me at these schools:
Lehigh
Villanova (First option, I'll probably write a personal letter telling them how much I want to be a part of their school ect.)
Bryn Mawr
Fordham
NYU
I have a 4.0, top 12 percent.
Super involved equestrian (but don't need to ride just an added detail)
Very good resume, class officer all four years, mission trip, singing at church, UIL, lots of clubs, ect.
Great recs and very good/unique essay.
Only a 27 on the act and an 1840 (1240 cr+m) on sat.
I may do ed to one as well.
From Texas, by the way, I've heard that might help because northeast schools don't have many southerners. Also, my dad didn't graduate high school. If that matters.
responses would be highly appreciated, thanks.

Could someone please respond? Anyone?

Well, your high GPA (unweighted?) may counter your lower test scores. Honestly though, with a unique essay and strong recommendations, you may have a good shot at your schools. It’s hard for me to judge very accurately with the criteria listed, but I think you are a solid applicant. So…

Lehigh = Low Reach
Villanova = High Match
Bryn Mawr = High Match
Fordham = Match
NYU = Reach

Please, chance me back if you have the time. Thank you!

Bu bu Bump…

Villanova

ACT 25 - 75 Composite: 28 / 31

Your 27 puts you in the lower range. Your academics help considerably. This disparate combination means that you need a hook. Think of something.

Villanova: Reach
Lehigh: Reach
NYU: Reach
Bryn Mawr: Match/High match
Fordham: Match

My hook will probably be that I’m from a small rural area in Texas because northeastern schools don’t have many southerners at all. Thanks for chancing me!
