What are my Chances? Carleton, Williams, Pomona, Brown, Macalester, Vassar, uPenn, Michigan (Honors)

Hi I’m a Junior, caucasian, girl from the northeast looking into colleges and I would like to know what my chances are for some of the colleges I’m looking at (to know if it’s worth continuing looking at these types). For the most part, I like smaller, LACs. My favorite subject is science.

Any feedback would be welcomed, especially recommendations to look into other colleges! Thank you!

GPA:
4.0 unweighted (so far all A’s in Junior year)
4.32 weighted
I don’t know my rank but my school’s ranking is messed up because transfer students and such, as we don’t have honors courses but they do. My school is very competitive.

My one problem is no athletics but I’m hoping extracurriculars will make up for it. Also I have legacy at Carleton, uPenn, and Michigan

Thanks again!

My daughter got the same exact SAT’s as you, 680 and 690 SAT2 and 8 ap’s and Ap cal as a junior, but is a senior now. Her gpa was a little lower and she needs financial aid. We found out that being a female from the northeast hurts your chances, and many small LAC’s take a large percentage of athletes, making it very competitive for a non-hooked white girl. We found that the all woman’s colleges and schools that used to be all woman, gave a better chance for admissions without sacrificing a quality education. My daughter may or may not decide on attending an all woman’s college, but they gave her more options for matches and high safety’s. This list would include: Wellesley, Mount Holyoke, Smith. Now coed Skidmore and Vassar. We have visited most of the New England and New York schools and can give any more advise if you want.
