what are my chances? (FMM)

i just submitted my application for a transfer into the FMM major (fall 2014) and i know its one of the more competitive majors so i'd like to know what others think my chances are.

i have a 3.4 gpa and i got an 1800 sat score, though ive heard they dont look at them.

i had about a 3.2 in high school and i've been working as a buyer at a crossroads trading co. near my house for the last couple of years- wondering if i should mention that in my essay since it helped me decide on my major. i was accepted at parsons for my freshman year but i was too poor/intimidated to go at 18 years old

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

i think you may have a good shot. although i think they also take into consideration your previous education and if you’re applying for day or night classes. for example with you having worked as a buyer and going to school you may have a better chance as an evening student instead of a daytime student. i know when i spoke to an admissions officer about my situation he said as an evening student i may stand a better chance of acceptance than as a daytime student…mind you this is about three weeks after i already submitted my full application.

take my advice with a grain of salt, i’m playing the waiting game right along with you. good luck whichever you decide!!

Those are good averages…you should be set.
