What are my chances for CARE fsu

So I applied to the CARE program on January 1st and was wondering how long it takes to hear back and whether or not I have a good shot at getting into CARE since I applied so late.

My stats are:

Weighted GPA: 4.29
Unweighted: 3.7
SAT: 1600
610 reading, 550 writing, 440 math (I am terrible at math), 8 on my essay
ACT: 24
30 reading, 20 math, 20 science, 24 writing, 7 on my essay
took 10 AP classes total junior and senior year (on my transcripts it says 7 since I'm taking 3 of them online)
253 community service hours
Aggregate income: $9,700 (household of 2)
current clubs: Art Club president, NHS, FSPA, Newspaper, Yearbook
both of my parents didn't finish high school
My mom is a single parent
I'm Brazilian

I'm really worried I won't get accepted so please respond!! FSU is my number one choice and although I like UCF I'd prefer to go there :/. Thanks guys!

Your weighted GPA doesn’t matter much, as it’s not what FSU cares about (especially considering the artificial GPA inflation cases like mentioned above… an A in one of those classes in almost every case is only a 5.0, not a 6.0). You would want to calculate your FSU GPA, which doesn’t include any “fluff” classes like PE, band, etc.

You won’t find out whether you got accepted to FSU until mid-March now, as that’s when the second decision date is. I would say your chances are probably about 50/50 or so, just because the second decision date is known to be tougher to get accepted.

My GPA isn’t that high because I only took 3 AP classes last year the rest are senior year and they wont count towards my GPA till next semester. Thanks for the reply!

I applied to CARE in October but they didn’t receive all of my papers until mid December and I got my acceptance decision is mid January. They told me it would take about six weeks so you should be getting your decision a few weeks from when you applied. You have a really good chance of getting in. You have great stats!
