im applying to choate and hopkins too. My scores were pretty terrible too, from 60%s to 90%s with an ISEE. We’ll see how the acceptances go… :/

Oh, this was last year… i took it again did better (83 percentile overall I think), still didn’t get in though. Wait listed at both. Cant apply this year. Hope you have better luck.

wow makes me nervous. 83rd percentile should have made it, but maybe it was something in the recommendations or the essays. I applied to Hopkins for Junior school but I was waitlisted even though I had 98th percentile on the math part.

Well, financial aid was a key factor(note that I did need 80% of the tuition in aid). I also didn’t know that FA at Hopkins and FA for day students at Choate was almost unheard of. Hopkins just didn’t like me(I just didn’t get a good vibe from them towards the end) and Choate, who knows? Also Hopkins, didn’t get my “good” SSAT scores from January (likely excuse). I scanned my own copy and sent it to them and they probably didn’t care anyways(a couple weeks before acceptance letters). But anyways, don’t sweat it, you sound like a better candidate than I am.
