Hi everyone!
I am currently a high school junior and wanted to apply for CS major in Cornell University!
I already know basics of programming like web development, javascript, PHP and some Phyton programming languages.
Here are my stats:
Weighted GPA: 93
Unweighted GPA: 92
Class Rank: 77 out of 275
I am in National Honor Society
SAT haven’t taken yet (what score do i need?)
Do i need any SAT Subject Tests (if yes, what tests and scores?)
Please help me out!
Thanks!
And how much money would I need to afford? My family income is around 60k - 69K
class rank puts you out of the running for one of their most competitive majors
there are other good schools, i would recommend a 1550+ to be safe, but a 1500+ should be fine.
so does that mean I need to get 1500+ on my SAT to get in to Cornell? What other good schools do you recommend for CS major?
The subject tests you’ll need depend on whether you’re applying for CS in arts and sciences or engineering. If arts and sciences, you’ll need two subject tests of your choice; if engineering, you’ll need one math and one science.
