3.8/4.05 GPA

(my gpa is low because I have taken about 7 APs in junior and sophomore year alone. In senior year I am taking 5 AP classes and 1 SUPA class which is twice as hard as an AP)

2190(750 math, 700 reading, 740 cr) on SATs( had appendicitis attack when i took it and my guidance told that to the admissions office at cornell)

700 on chem and US sat 2

EC:
-I have about 600 hrs of community service at a clinic.

-500 hours of research at cold spring harbor lab under Dr. Dmitri Chklovskii.

-religious community service(170 hrs)

-2nd place in Rohm and Haas research competition

4 years of job experience(Computer Technician, web designer, sales person)

-National Honor Society and Blue Key member

I am applying with research as my main field. I have written my essay on that
and explained to them the experience I had while researching with a computational neuroscientist.

My common app essay is about moving from India to America at the age of 14 in the middle of my freshman year...(Could this be a hook ?)

a bunch of other minor extra curriculars...

Can u also tell me my chances at upenn, brown, stanford and dartmouth for regular decision?

no, it probably isn’t because many applicants are immigrants.

how did you do on your AP exams? SAT IIs? do you have any leadership? if this is all you have, i’ll be honest about what i think are your chances:
cornell ED - might get in, slight reach (since you’re in NY, right? it’s half SUNY school or whatever so it’ll make it easier to get in i think)
upenn - reach
brown - really high reach.
stanford - suuuuuuper high reach
dartmouth - high reach

I never knew that SUPA was twice as hard as AP… in my school SUPA is easier.

nah.SUPA economics is the same course as AP economics but has a few more chapters and its a 6 month class. so basically u have to do twice as much work.
I got all 4s. I took 2 SAT 2s and got 700s in both of them.
and yes, I do live in NY and I applied to one of the easiest colleges within cornell- college of human ecology(state school). Also, cornell accepts a lot of people from my school(Jericho high school) for some reason.
and thanx for ur comments…
