What are my chances for ECU and Charlotte with a 3.6 weighted NC GPA 29 ACT 31 Superscore? In state

I was wondering if I have a chance at these schools?

My Unweighted gpa is an abysmal 2.8 as well

Your chances aren’t great. You might want to consider going to a CC and then transferring.

ecu? don’t they accept almost like everyone? also wont my 31 act more than make up for it? Inst there average like a 22ish

I got into charlotte

atleast

Did you ever hear from ECU? UNC-C is a good option too.

I didn’t apply because I would rather do engineering at UNC-C. I’m still waiting to hear back from unc wilmington, app state, and nc state which is my reach.

ECU accepts almost everyone. Thats werid how your GPA is super low compared to your high ACT

@greenhopekid32

UNC-W and App State don’t offer degrees in engineering so don’t bother with them. unless you want UNC-W’s 2+2 program with NC State.

i would stick with UNC-Charlotte. congrats on your acceptance.

Chance back?

yeah i messed up my gpa freshman and sophomore year and it got really hard to get it up by then

yeah if i dont get into state, ill go to their of the lower tier unc schools and probably end up transfering my 2nd year

to state or unc chapel hill

@greenhopekid32

UNC chapel hill does not have engineering except for Biomedical. any other kind of engineering you will want NC State.

so your plan for the fall is either:
NC State if you get in
UNC Charlotte 2 years, NC State 2 years
UNC-W 2 years, NC State 2 years

right?

i guess so. But nothing is set in stone yet

Im also not set on engineering. I might do comp sci

yeah and with the low gpa thing, my school switched the grading scale from 7 point to ten point starting my junior year and didn’t even change earlier grades. Those earlier grades just showed up as letter grades on my transcript so those 84s and 92s still just showed as bs and cs. It very farfetched

so my test scores I believe are a more accurate representation of my abilities

do schools accept updated scores even after the deadlines? If so I might take the act one last time and try for a 34 composite
