What are my chances for engineering at these schools?

Demographics: Male, (putting black/hispanic), PA, Go to a small catholic school, URM??? I’m actually a year younger than the average 11th grader. Getting NO financial Aid LOL.

Intended major(s): Aerospace Engineering

Academics: ACT: nope

SAT: 1400 . 710 math, 690 reading. Retaking in fall after prep course.

SAT II: Took MATH 1 and 2 in June(LOL)

Class rank: 2/29(really small class,)

UW/W GPA:I dont actually know, I calculate around 3.89 for 9th thru 11th

Coursework:–Took APUSH, AP LAng. Took all available honors courses. Math and science classes that I took in HS:

MAth: Geometry H, Algebra 2 H, Trig H, Pre Calc H, Stats H, Calc H. Science: Biology H, Chem H, Anatomy and Physiology H, Physics H (my school does not offer any AP math/science besides APES lol)

Awards: Nothing really besides stuff in my school

Extracurriculars: ALtar served about 100 hours throughout HS, will be doing it more often from now on. 4 year varsity soccer(best player according to coach, probably captain next year UPDATE: got screwed out of it because I was injured before our first scrimmage :frowning: ). NHS member. other misc volunteer stuff.

Played saxophone since 4th grade. Been in junior, concert, jazz, marching band and drum line.

List of Schools: UIUC, Purdue, UMD, UMich, University of Minnesota, Rutgers, SUNY Buffalo, NC State, Ohio State, Penn State(=D), University of Virginia, West Virginia University, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech

I was wondering if I should apply to schools like Drexel or Temple for MEchanical Engineering as fall back options because none of these schools here are really safeties for me I think.

Really? If your calculations are accurate and you have a 3.89 UW GPA, Penn State is probably a safety. Get a copy of your transcript, though, and look up your actual recorded GPA, because that would be good to know for sure.

bodangles , I actually got my transcript on thursday, and my unweighted GPA is 3.92.
