What are my chances for getting into Princeton?

Hi guys! I know this is a repetitive question, but I was wondering if it is even worth applying to Princeton for me, even though I want to go there. I am planning on majoring in Civil Engineering. I know my SAT scores are not the best and not even anywhere close to where they should be.

Here are my stats:

SATs: 1590 (highest score) and super score is a 1600 out of a 2400
SAT II: planning to take
ACT: 25
GPA: 3.8393 (my school does not weigh it)
School Rank: 19th out of about 400 students (about top 5%)
Junior Year Classes: AP Calc AB, AP Language and Composition, AP US History, Honors Physics
Senior Year Classes: AP Calc BC, AP Physics, AP Literature, AP Statistics
Awards: Two time T-Shirt Design winner, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, State winner for fashion (twice), high honor roll awards

Three year varsity swimmer
Organized a fundraiser to sell cheer bows in order to raise money for the swim team

Attended summer workshops for women in engineering at Rutgers and summer online program at Brown

Recommendations: Will be great, since I am a loved student.
Volunteering: I have around 600 hours

Work experience: Two jobs as a lifeguard

Other:
Female
Speak fluently in two languages and English is my second language even though I have been in the US since I was 1.

Thanks for the input!

Is your SAT score on the 1600 scale?

Unfortunately it is not @gtownhopeful2016‌

1600/2400
that’s… pretty low right?

Dont apply

That is correct, @yomyomf‌ .

Your test scores aren’t anything stellar and I don’t believe your GPA is above average either. Rec letters and EC aren’t enough to get into Princeton. I would follow @darthvader2‌ 's advice and not apply.

why are your scores so low? Maybe you need to approach the test in a different manner? Study differently?

I agree with those scores it will be nearly impossible to get in unfortunately. I recommend trying to take these tests again.

Almost 0%.

I hate to be blunt, but with these scores and average EC’s there is as much chance of you getting into princeton as there is a storm that actually rains cats and dogs. I am really sorry; I know the position that you are in - but you shouldn’t fixate on Princeton. Sure, there are a plethora of great things about Princeton, but it is not the only good school out there. I would reccomend looking around more; there are plenty of schools out there for you, Princeton just isn’t one of them. Either way, I wish you the best of luck in your college endevors @annavas‌, just remember to widen your perspective.

You would have a tough time to get accepted by Rutgers let alone Princeton.
Your HS is classic grade inflation which is why many colleges put more weight on SAT/ACT to compare students from different HS.

That is an extremely low test score. You’d need to invent a cure for a disease to make up for it. No point in applying.

You also should really be taking more than 4 classes a year. Though, if your school limits you to that load, then I guess that’s fine. Study for the SAT over the Summer and take it in October. After taking practice tests, do 2 post reviews. Your first review should be looking at the questions you got wrong and trying to figure out why the right answer is the right answer. Then, if your book gives explanations of the answers, read those over. That should teach you what you need to do to improve your score a great deal.
