are u going in to dentistry????? you got so much work experience. match for all schools!!!

weak SAT, hows your recs and essays?

based on this, id say cornell is a reach

My recs are pretty good and essays aren't exceptionally amazing. I'm taking my Sat I's again this Jan, hopefully my verbal goes up at least 50 points~ im praying its my last chance for Notre Dame~

Thanks!!!~

can anyone give me specifics?!~ please thanks

anyone else?

added
+ Purdue
+ UPitt
+ Syracuse
+ Miami U (Ohio)

predictions please?~ thanks

i think lehigh is sort of a reach, but depends on if you applied to engineering or not

the only reach may be barnard; other than that, i think you're definitely in everywhere else, including the 4 new colleges you posted today. we have a lot of similar activities. haha but anyways, good luck :)

you are saying barnard is a reach and cornell is not..with a 1330 any ivy league school you apply to is a reach..but defnitely apply..your work experiences may definitely compensate for the rather low scores

Go West young lady.

why west itstoomuch?

i considered it, but my parents are refusing to pay for my tuition if I go any further than Indiana (West and south)

There was a study by Stanford (?) 2002 or 2003 that was posted somewhere on CC that said that the average distance from of the high selective college to your high school's home town, was 600 miles. That implied that the further you are from home, the greater chances of being admitted.

Distance from home is only relative. If you drive 300 miles it may take you 6 hours, gas and someone to drive. You can fly 2000-3000 miles in 8 hours with the cost only slightly more than driving and without the inconvenience of having someone to do the driving. If you live in SF Bay area, 300 miles north or south gets you only to the borders where as 300 miles in the East gets you across 5 states.

Your posting eludes that you are from NE. Weather is better in the West and the scenery is very much varied and different from the Eastern part of the US.

If your parents still baulk- tell them that there are more oriental boys in the West.

Finally. no more expensive than living in West.

Lol~ I'm nothing like your typical asian girl nor are my parents like typical asians. I'm planning on marrying someone not of my race, most likely white/Catholic but definitely not Asian.

I'm hoping that Notre Dame is far enough, but I your answer seems logical. I was thinking of Pepperdine and Pomona. But I love the winters so I think that's why I'm choosing a lot of schools in the NE and MidWest.

Thank you so much!!~

100 miles will get you into yards of snow or you can stay on the beach and get some sun .
Pepperdine and UCSD overlook the ocean. Beautiful.

ND will take a plane trip and only slightly cheaper than fly to LA-SF.

How about Carnegie Mellon-Pittsburgh?

Um, isn't it TOO late now to pick new schools? GL at the ones u applied 2.

anyone else have any input?~ getting a little anxious~ thanks again!!!! :)
