I am a high school senior and I just applied early to Stanford.
I am a white female but my mother is Spanish so I can check the Hispanic/Latino box on Common App. Both my parents went to the University of Washington so I am not a legacy. Our family income if >100000 and I have one younger sibling.
I am in the Cambridge Program at my school, so I haven't done much AP/IB, but we have A-Levels which is somewhat similar. Here are my courses for senior year:
* AP BC Calculus
* AP Spanish
*Ap/A-level Art
* A-Level Biology
*A-Level English Literature
* A-Level International History
My unweighted GPA is a 4.00. I am ranked 1/340 in my class. I took the ACT and got a 35. On subject tests, I got a 750 on Math II and 740 on Literature.
For extracurriculars,
* I have done competetive cheer at my school for three years. We ranked second at state last year, and were in the top 20 teams at Nationals. I am cheer captain this year.
* I have been involved in Honors Society since 7th grade, and am President of the club
* I have done professional (mainly regional) musical theatre since the age of six
* I have played piano fore eleven years
* For community service, I am the resident choreographer of the ArtsReach Program, which teaches kids about the performing arts at elementary schools with little funding.
* I am also involved in my community by being on the Kirkland Youth Council, so I contribute to city planning, events, and help for young people.
Also, I am sure to have great letters of rec.
What are my chances for Stanford?
