I’m applying in a few days for this fall for the Biology with French course.
My GPA is low (3.0) due to struggle freshman/sophomore year, but I’ve brought it up to straight A’s second semester senior year.
My SAT was 1440 (750 R/W, 690 M) and the first time I took it was 1390: 670 R/W, 720 M.
My school does not offer AP’s, but I took four SAT II’s: Biology M (700), Math 2 (610), French (650), and English Lit. (710).
I am in the highest level of biology and french classes available at my school.
I have good recommendations from my Calculus teacher and my Biology teacher.
I go to a highly selective, tough private all-girls school.
If you had applied earlier I’d say pretty good, but I don’t know how applying now affects that. Make sure your PS is very good and explains why you want to go there, otherwise this will just look like a last ditch effort to go somewhere.
Okay, thank you. Do you think my low Math 2 score would hurt me, or can it be counterbalanced by my other math scores and good grades in calculus this year?
Not sure about the math, but I think having below 700 in French could be a problem.
