What are my chances for UNC

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I posted a "thread" before but I think that i may have done it in the place. I am currently a junior in high school at Conard High School in West Hartford, Connecticut. The three schools that I am seriosulsey considering are UNC, UVA, and University of Michigan, liek alot of other people on this site. I feel as though im qualified but i know taht for anyone its a crapshoot. I dont have my transcript with me so ill briefly describe it. I have received entireely A's and B+'s in high school. My Gpa is a 4.15 weighted with an extra .5 for Honors and Ap's( I don't know how anyone else rates their, ive seen kids with 4.7's etc.). I took Ap Stat and AP Bio last year and received two fours. This year I took AP Calc, AP English Language, and AP Comparative Politics. I received a B+ in Ap Calc both semesters and A's in the other two. Next year I will be taking AP Lit, AP Economics, AP US History, and AP Physics. I will also be taking Calc with multivariables at the Universirty of Hartford. Overall I will have 10 AP classes at the end of my high school career. My SAT Scores were a 2200 with 730 Verbal, 750 Math, and 720 Writing. My SAT 2 scores were 780 2C 770 1C and 700 Bio. I also have an extensive list of EC's that im too lazy too list right now. Can anyone tell me what my chances are realistically to get into UNC? Any examples of past students and their scores/results would be extremely helpfull. Thanks iin advance.

bump, please somebody help me out

i'd say u have a chance, although they only accept something like 12% of out-of-staters, making it one of the most competative schools for out-of-staters period. i wish i had ur sat scores then i'd have much more options, although i was looking at university of michigan too..do u know how hard it is to get into for out of state students

i think that it is relativley hard, but nothing too bad. Of the three schools im looking at, unc, uva and michigan i think that michigan is the easiest of teh three to get into. What are your test scores? I know some kids who got in from my school and i can help you compare

i really like michigan but idk how good my chances r..but here's my scores
4.5 gpa 3.727(unweighted)
varsity sports (lettered)
honors society and other clubs
sat: 610(cr) 630(m) 600(w)
1 year at a part time job
3 ap's junior year 2-3 ap's senior year
all honors core classes
3yrs spanish 1 year latin
top 10% of class (like 30/380 i think)

thanks

i definitely think that you have a chance, i guess that it will depend on teh year, keep on doing EC's. How do you weight your grades? is it an extra .5 for honors and AP's, cuz thats how we do it at my school

a in regular class 4pts
a in honors.........5pts
a in ap...............6pts

i think you have a great chance because of your test scores.

I think that your chances are pretty good.........ultimately its the essay that makes or breaks admission

hey unchopeful... i think your stats are great... like you said, it's definately a crapshoot, but you have a strong chance. Are you looking into any stronger schools? i think you should, especially if your ec's are strong like you say they are.
