Hello! my name is Sheila, and I just signed up for this site. Well, I finished my junior year and in September I'll be a senior. I live in New york around upstate area. I'm really nervous to apply to colleges and I haven't decided if I wanted to go to a CC or a 4-year D:. Oh and I'm Asian, usually Asian go to a 4-year and this is rare because I'm going to a CC for nursing. In June i took my ACT and I got a 16....... a 16. That is atrocious score for a junior, I feel really dumb, I don't know what school would accept me with a score of a 16! My cousin got into really good school's like M.I.T and he's leaving in a week. Most of my family members went to a 4-year college and i feel like disgraced my family. Is it common for an Asian to go to a CC?

Unless you feel you can really do better, go to CC- nothing wrong with that. Stop trying to compare yourself to racial stereotypes and expectations, it won’t do anything besides make you feel undeservedly bad.

What’s your GPA?

My GPA is 2.80 I could try and get to 3.0

Are Kansas State or Arizona State schools you can live with?
