Chances at SUNY? low gpa and scores

I want to apply East Asian Studies and minor Korean language (if I can find a school that has it)

Asian
My cumalative GPA is 70.9%

SAT: 1580 - 330 CR, 800 M, 450 W.
I will take MATH 1 and History Subject test this december. Also retaking the SAT and maybe ACT as well, but I'm not familar with the ACTs.
I have no honors and as a senior, I am talking only AP Statistics. My school does not offer many AP classes, but I'll be taking AP Physchology and Biology.

Extracurricular:
Peer Leadership( 120 hours +) ,
I don't know what else to put, uploading videos to youtube?(2000+ subs), attempt at making websites?, made graduation design poster for the school and got accepted ( received a $50 GC)?, worked at uncle eletronic shop(6 months)?

In my freshmen and Sophmore year, my grandfather and a close cousin died. My brother also suffered a disease, and almost died as well( If it wasn't for a bone marrow donation, he was at that point that he could have, took 2 years). I don't know whether this is relevant to put on the application or the essay, but I suffered because of all this in my first two years(My parents - I hid my expressions - or school doesn't know all this). I'm through with that though, my grades have improved from B's , C's and F's to A's and B's. I also want to say that in first 2 years, we had to take the NY regent tests, and I failed all of them in those 2 years.. but I passed all of in my one take in my junior year.

What would be my chances at colleges in NY? SUNYs? I'm not looking into CUNY because I heard they're very horrible colleges, and I think I rather go through a CC for two years and transfer with gpa over 3.5.

can anyone at least please give a idea of my chances? thanks.

hmmm… your reading score is veeeeeeeery bad, but you have a perfect in math, most colleges only look at reading and math. if you can get your reading higher you have a good chance

Thank you, thank you.

I can defenitly say that I’ll have a higher CR or W(looking around 600-700), but I don’t think I did get a perfect math again, I did say it was because of the curve.

can anyone else chance me for what I can get into? I know I don’t stand out like everyone else here does with high SATs, and GPA :(

Oh, and I wanted to add that Im first generation for college, I hear that helps.
I also decided that I will take AP Evironmental Science exam since it seems to the easiest AP…

More Please! Thanks

bump.

Depends on which SUNYs you’re looking at.
For SUNYs like Bing, Albany, Stony, chances are very very low because even if your SAT scores are higher, the low GPA is bad.

CUNYs aren’t that great but it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. You can go to a CUNY and transfer after a year.

Also, if you go to a school in nyc and it’s one of the specialized, i think you might have a chance with the low gpa but if you go to a regular high school, then i think most SUNYs are out of your reach
