I am a student in the Dallas area applying to the Moody College of Communications at UT Austin.
Some stats and information:
My gpa on a 5.0 scale is a 4.38.
My highest SAT score is a 1120.
I am a Director in my schools broadcast journalism team that I have been a part of my junior and senior year.
I am a member of Student Council, Film Club, Photography Club, Leo Club (a leadership club), and the Student Emergency Response Team at my school.
I attended the RTF camp this past year and created a film there.
I worked as a First Assistant Director of Photography for a film over the summer of 2017.
I am also a Girl Scout and I have been since elementary school, and I am currently working on my gold award.
I am the lead historian of my schools band.
I have been in the Varsity marching band for 3 years and prop crew my freshman year.
I have advanced to state solo for the past 3 years and received four 1s and two 2s as my score. (the competition has not come yet this year and the scores are including the regional solo competition)
I am a volunteer at a pet shelter where I have served 60-70 hours.
I had a job as a cashier at a local hardware shop.
With my GPA and SAT score, I am aware that puts me at a low place. I am hoping to pursue a career in film and Moody College provides a top program with the education and experience that can put me forward and help me improve my skills.
With everything, how likely am I to getting into Moody College, majoring in Radio Television & Film Production?
