I plagerized in my freshman year of high school and now I’m wondering if that could effect my chances at getting into a good college. The consequence that I got for plagerizing was 1 after school detention and they gave me the chance of redoing the assignment.
It sounds as if this incident wasn’t all that serious, considering the consequences. Depending on the level of plagiarization, it could have an impact, but as long as this incident isn’t mentioned on your college application anywhere, it should make no difference. That being said, I don’t know why anyone would willingly include this piece of information on a college app. If possible, just keep it to yourself.
