What Are My Chances?? JMU transfer WandM

I am freshmen Finance major at JMU and I’m trying to transfer to WandM next fall. I know its too early to be able to tell whether I have a good chance of getting in or not.
I’m really just posting this to ask what I need to do to better my chances.

My high school stats are pretty weak;

GPA; 3.4ish (weighted with some of the few APs and honors my school offered)
SAT: 1300 (willing to study and retake it Christmas break)

I took classes @ NOVA over the summer and got

A: Microeconomics
B: Writing course

*I’m thinking about not adding this to my transcript if adding it lowers my GPA-Idk if that’s a good idea

Classes at JMU:

Microeconomics (I kinda stayed in this for the reason above)
Macroeconomics
Introductory Calc
A Humanities class
Comm. class

*I’m confident I can have a solid GPA in these classes so far I’m doing very well in my midterms

Extracurriculars :
FMA (Financial Management Association)

*what other types of clubs would look really good on a transcript?

Is there anything else I could do that I haven’t asked about?

bump. Peep the last questions

Hey zaserman! When you apply to the College, you have to send all available transcripts that you have, which means that includes your ones from NOVA. However chances are given that they were taken at the NOVA community college, they won’t be factored into your overall GPA unless they have been already.

On a side note, you might want to check with the admissions office on this, but I am pretty sure there is not really a point to retaking the SAT once you are already in college. The SAT is primarily used as a predictor on how you might do in college, but once you are there what matters most is how you are doing in your college coursework.

Additionally you should be doing extracurricular that interest you and ignite your passions (aka ones you would make active contributions to) because there is no one set answer to what looks good on a college application.
