I am starting my senior year of high school this August. I applied for the What Makes A Star? program at Steinhardt and was accepted a few weeks ago. I have been on honor roll every year and was in principles honor roll this past year. I took 3 dual credit classes last year (my school doesn’t have ap classes) and I will take several more this year plus 2 online college classes. I have been a member of my schools FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter all three years of high school and served as Vice President this past school year. I have had my business projects go to state every year and attended state twice. I was also a one year member of my schools FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) chapter and was elected Vice President of Technology. While in FCCLA, my project made it to state and I attended. I have been a member of my schools speech team for 3 years now. I have been in choir since 4th grade and since I have been a member of countless honor choirs and was accepted into All State Choir my 7th grade year and plan to audition for All State again this year. Additionally, I have been a member of an orchestra and a guitar club. My hobbies include DJing (I’ve only had one gig so far and I do mixes on Soundcloud) and producing (I am a newbie and am still learning). Last month I job shadowed a music studio owner/producer, had a mock interview with him, and plan on visiting his studio to learn more soon. I have an interest in the music business because I hope to someday create a collective/record label and also do music events. What are my chances?
