@Srijith97 Your non-math ACT scores are low for GA Tech, but I haven’t checked the others.

Also, grades and scores are only part of the application - essays, ECs and other activities are also considered.

How much can you/your family afford, in USD? Most state universities award no financial aid to internationals.

I thought Georgia tech looks at only english and math.My average of the two is 30.I believe my math act score is competitive for all the colleges i am applying to.

@Srijith97 Your math score is fine but the other subscores are a bit weak - especially science, since you seem to want to go into some sort of engineering field. I’d retake if possible.

Can you point me to a link that says that GA Tech only looks at English and Math? I’m surprised.

my bad bro read my edited post

Bro I cant retake the test because the application deadlines have already passed. So basically u are telling me that I have no chance at Georgia tech or any of these colleges.

you should get in my friends tell me that many internationals easily get into these types of colleges with scores only a little higher then yours did you apply to any safety schools? If not would you consider being admitted to a non-engineering major, and potentially switching into engineering later on?

@Srijith97 No I’m not saying that. But I am saying that the low test scores will likely make it harder, unless you have something else that shows potential that we don’t yet know about. I only picked on GA Tech since it’s a competitive school. You might have a better chance at the others, but since UIUC and Penn St. are state universities, expect little to no financial aid.

In your other thread here, @QuiteAverage90 also mentions your low-ish ACT score. Maybe that suggests something?

Also, could you please answer my question in post #3?

I think he’s right about GT only looking at math and English sub-scores from ACT, though they also look at Writing. I remember that from my son’s Buzzport account.

OP I give you almost no chance at GT (less than 10%). It was an extremely competitive pool this year.

VT - your math will help you but not sure how they will look at your GPA. They do have many international students. I’d give you a 40-50% chance there.

I do not have any idea about PSU, or UIUC.

Take all of this with a grain of salt - this is my amateur mom opinion.
