What are my chances of Being Accepted into Phillps Exeter/ Phillips Andover?

Hi, I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I plan to apply for Phillips Exeter and Andover.
My grades in 7th grade are 4 As and 1 B+(I slacked off a bit). However, I'm sure I can get all As and A+s in 8th grade.
I'm currently taking high school math(Geometry) as a class because I skipped 8th grade math.
I placed 16th in MathCounts state tournament(Mass) and placed 8th for 7th graders last year.
I also placed 8th at Exeters math tournament and 9th at LMT(Lexington math tournament).
I also scored a 25 on my AMC8. On a practice SSAT i took, I scored a 2350, and I got around a 2100 on the SAT.
Extracurriculars:
I play the saxophone, and am 1st saxophone in my schools band. I also played the piano for 5-6 years. I am pretty good at swimming( I'm on a USA swim team), I'm probably 10th for my age in NE and I also do track. My mile is a 6:05 and my 800 is a 2:46. I played soccer for 5-6 years and played baseball for 2 years. Also, I'm confident I will make varsity swimming as a freshman( I checked their times). I also do speech club and attended a few tournaments. At my first tournament, I got an honorable mention, which isn't bad,as only around 15 kids out of 90 get recognized.
I'm planning on attending my school's community service day(around 4 hrs). I am an ambassador at my school which is a group of around 25 8th graders that welcome the newly arriving 7th graders into the school.
I also did Boy scouts for about 5 years and earned the arrow of light, which is the highest award a cub scout can earn.
My teachers and swim coach(who attended phillips andover) respect me and will likely give me good recommendations.
I am a pretty good writer and my essay will most likely be good.
I've prepared for my interview, and am pretty sure I will do well.
Also, my Mathcounts team this year most likely will place 1st.
What are my chances of getting accepted into Exeter and andover?
Thanks!

while i’m unsure of private school admissions, i think you should keep it up and you’ll go places past exeter and andover.

I forgot to mention that I attend chinese school every Sunday and speak it well.
I also study spanish at my school

I wouldn’t worry about. Phillips is not the be all end all. IF you really care enough, push the athletic route, and contact the coaches to give you an extra push.

to mintzykins
If I were to contact the coach, what would I say? Would I tell him my name and interests and describe myself? Or should I tell him my times?
Also, Do you think that I have a chance of getting into exeter or andover?
Thanks!

Chances r bogus. No saying for sure whether u will get in or not. However, saying that, u do have an excellent chance. Ace essays, interviews, and recs. Most important part of the apps. If u need tips for interview, PM me.
To the coach: contact him while scheduling interview. Or email or call. Say name, level of commitment, years done, awards won, etc etc. Say best times.
U have a great chance. X-ing fingers for both of us til march!

Thanks! Good luck!

@a-swim, you are an impressive applicant, but might get more responses in the prep school admissions secion than here in the college admissions section!

However, I’m not sure chance me threads are useful in either place.

A and E are great schools that take less than 1 in 5 applicants. Many applicants are very strong, as you seem to be. So think about what makes you really stand out (one or two things, like math swimmer), and focus on your passions and committment to each.

It is still a matter of luck, and I suggest you broaden your search to other good prep schools with good swim teams. Apply to six, or eight. There are many wonderful schools where you will get a good education.

You mention you are taking Chinese - if you are Asian from Massachusetts, it is extra difficult because you are competing against so many of your own strong group.

Best of luck. Get your applications in EARLY (before holidays if possible).
