UNC is definitely where I want to go to study biology (pre-med). My sister is also graduating from Carolina this year, and she’s told me a lot about how fantastic the school is. I recently applied EA.

I am an in-state applicant from Pitt County. It’s classified as a “Tier 2” county, so I don’t think I’m at a disadvantage like those who live in Wake or Mecklenburg county.
Unweighted GPA: 3.88/4.0
Weighted GPA: 4.4808/5.0
SAT: 1450 (740 Math, 710 English)
Activities:
Volunteering at the hospital for Health Sciences Academy (about 200 hours, this is what I wrote my “activities” essay on. Got an award at my school for volunteer hours)
Future Business Leaders of America (Competed at 3 state competitions, won a few state-level awards)
National Honors Society (Some volunteer work for this club, about 50ish hours)
Lacrosse Team Captain (2 years)
School Spirit Organizer (this is something I do just for fun - basically organizing “themes” for sporting events at my school)
Other honors societies such as Science National Honors Societies, National English Honors Society, Rho Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Technical Honors Society
Research Internship at College of Health and Human Performance at the college in my hometown for 2 summers
Got LORS from teachers that I have a pretty good connection with, and did really well in their classes.
