hey, i am a 19 year old student from india. I comleted my 12th in 2013 and took a gap year. I recently gave me sat and received an avg score of 1690. i hv again given sat and act exams alongwith toefl and I am waiting for the results. as i want to become a doctor so i was hoping which colleges can i apply to with a score of 1690 that also offer good financial aid

Colleges don’t only look at SAT scores. What are your ECs? Your GPA? and strong essays help too

As I am from India we don’t have the GPA system here but on converting my percentage to gpa it is 4.0.I am good hockey, debating, biotechnologyetc. Also can you pls help me with college search on common app.As I am not able to search any colleges through it.And pls give me a few examples of backup colleges. Is WELLESLEY good for a start.

I think that a 4.0 in India is as good as a 2400 on the sat. You sound really smart and it’s obvious that you’re improving your english language skills. It has to be really tough trying to learn a language while also trying to do well on likely the hardest test that the english language has to offer. You’re going to be a great doc, but you really need to improve that sat score. I’d say to look at some state schools that are craving international students.
