What are my chances of getting into a UC [University of California]???

Is there ANY chance I could get into a UC with this...?
I'm in my second year of college at a community college and I want to apply for Fall at a UC
SAT scores: W-510 M-490 CR-500
GPA: 3.60
It doesn't look like I can complete the IGETC just by 1 or 2 classes...
The major I was hoping for was film studies or film and TV or film/TV writing
I've only taken two classes for my major [that's because they only offer two classes for my major at the CC I'm at]
My parents went to college in the a different country
Our income is around 70,000-78,000
My older sister is at Cal Berkeley right now for psychology.

Does any of this help/hurt? Is there anything I could do to up my chances? Please be honest, should I just keep at it in community college? Should I even try to apply?

Thanks

Which UC’s have “film studies or film and TV or film/TV writing*”? You may want to go to those schools subforums, or the UC transfer subforum.

Berkeley, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara have film studies and Riverside has creative writing… I will go find their forums. Thanks

Isn’t there guaranteed admission for CC students as long as they meet a certain requirement in all UCs except Berkeley and Cal? Why don’t you apply junior year when you’ve met the requirements.

@Wendeli I just wanted to check if I could get in now. I’m anxious. I just wanted to see if anyone knew if UCs accept students like me.

You seem to be set for Riverside or Merced.

Might wanna spend a month or and retake the SAT to be more competitive.

basicspace could be right, but you need something specific for you CC credits, and the school you want to apply to. I was under the impression that SAT’s were not relevant for CCC transfers.
