Hi I am a female, Hispanic URM, first-gen looking to study engineering at schools within California, I am top 10% of class & am also a California Resident. I am trying to figure out what schools I would be able to get into/which I should apply to. I’m looking for Cal States, UC’s and Private school. Your honest opinion would be very helpful 
Senior classes: AP Calculus AB, AP Physics 2, AP Lit, AP Government, Advanced Theatre, Theatre Production, AVID
Scored a 4 on the AP World History test and took 8 classes my Junior year(4 of them being AP)
EXTRACURRICULAR:
-Secretary of Theatre Department 2013-2014
Description: Took notes of every meeting, attendance logs, created agenda
-Vice President of Theatre Department 2014-2015
Description: Help oversee club activities, coordinate end of the year banquet, communication with Parent Booster Club, communicated with Stage Manager/Properties Organizer for every production
-President of Theatre Department 2015-2016
Description: Oversee club activities, constant communication with ASB, make sure department follows through with commitments, communicate with International Thespian Society, create agenda, make sure meetings are organized
-President of Students For Christ 2014-2015
Description: 25% membership increase under term, coordinated district wide coalition of Christian Clubs within my county
-Communication Officer for Junior Class Council 2014-2015
Description: Organized dates to meet up and discuss upcoming events, created posts for social media, encouraged school spirit
-Communication Officer for HOLA Club 2014-2015
Description: Created posts for social media, created all advertisement for the club
-International Thespian Society member 2013-2016
-Avid 2012-2013 and 2014-2016
-Puente 2012-2016
-Over 1800 hours of community service throughout high school
Based on current SAT/ACT scores, GPA and EC’s. Very good leadership BTW.

Bump up your SAT score to 1900+ and ACT to 29+ and you will have more options.

It would be a good idea to raise your SAT score to 1900+ just to be on the safe side. You have great extracurriculars and a strong UC/CSU GPA, so top UC’s are a good option to apply to. I recommend raising your SAT’s as much as you can before applying to increase your chances! URM & female entering engineering field is also a very good hook. Good luck!

If you are planning on applying to the UC system as an engineering major, then I would suggest you take some subject tests. I would suggest the Math Level 2 and a science test (Biology E/M, Chemistry, or Physics). This will make you application more competitive.
