IU in Bloomington is my number 1 choice since I'm an Indiana resident and it's only a few hours away from home. Plus, the campus is amazing and I've heard it's a great place to get a degree. Sadly, I didn't do good at all my freshmen and sophomore years of high school. I don't really have an excuse for it. College just felt really far away and I neglected to try. I started regretting it deeply when I looked at my GPA during my junior year. I was at around a 2.3. But, to redeem myself just a little bit, I ended up working extremely hard my junior year and I did much better. Unfortunetly, IU has upped its standards lately and I'm definitely worried. I feel like I don't have a fighting chance at all to get in, but I do have some things going for me. Here's a list:

I'm now up around a 2.5 gpa

I'm an Indiana resident

I'm a 21st century scholar so, no matter what, IU will get my tuition money and other fees.

I've improved greatly between my sophomore and junior year(which I heard impresses colleges)

I can get some good recommendations from people like my art teacher (I'm going into an art major)

Do you think I still have a little bit of a chance or is it hopeless? I'm going to apply there regardless, and I have backup colleges, but I'm still really worried about this.
