What are my Chances of Getting into Ivy League Schools?

I'm a high school senior and my GPA on the 100-point scale is a 104.69. (My school does it on the 100 point scale). My school doesn't rank and I took 4 AP classes my junior year. AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Language and Composition, and AP Chemistry. I got 5's on all of the AP exams. Senior year I am taking AP Calculus BC, AP Literature and Composition, AP Economics, AP Spanish, and AP Physics C. I got a 2340 on my SATs (800 on Math, 790 on Writing, and 750 on Reading; I got a 12 on my essay). I took SAT Math 2 and got an 800 and I'll be taking SAT Chemistry in October.

Extracurriculars:

In school-
PAWS for a CAUSE (Vice President)
FBLA (Secretary)
National Honor Society
Spanish Honor Society (President)
Swim Team for all four years

Out of school-
very involved with my church: I am a children's teacher at church and began teaching them since 7th grade until now; I attended a church summer program known as the Summer School of Truth every summer since 7th grade and graduated with perfect attendance and perfect verses this past summer. I also volunteer at Chinese Speaking Conferences by making food for them to eat and helping around in the kitchen.
I am on the Hillsborough Hurricanes (summer swim team) and I do the Fall Swim Clinic (for preparation of the high school team).
I lifeguard at two YMCAs over the weekend.
I volunteer at SAVE animal shelter and I help clean cat cages and help with adoptions at PETCO (this year I am striving to combine PAWS for a CAUSE with this animal shelter).
I graduated from Chinese School with Honors and got a 280 on my HSK.
I played piano for 10 years, earning 6 consecutive years of honors in the NJMTA music recitals.

Volunteer work:
-Special Olympics: I participated in this program and helped teach special ed kids how to swim.
-Samartian Homeless Interim Program (SHIP): I helped serve food to homeless people in my county.
-Somerset Medical Center-I worked at this local hospital and was a volunteer on the Neuroscience floor (totaling 50 hours)
-In PAWS for a CAUSE, I also do fundraise money for animal shelters through Shake-A-Cans and lollipop sales; I also participate in animal shelter events such as Tricky Tray which raises money for Second Chance for Animals.

You have excellent academic and ecs to put on your applications. Each Ivy has its own character and you’d be better off talking to the admission rep at each. Why do you want ____ Ivy school and what will you contribute to the student body?

Congratulations, your secondary school record is outstanding and you’re certainly a competitive candidate. However – as you know – the sad fact is each Ivy (and their non-Ivy peers such as Stanford, MIT, Duke, Northwestern, etc.) will receive many thousands of applications from similarly excellent students, and they will admit only approximately 5 to 12 percent.

Therefore, I suggest your essays and recommendations MUST compellingly answer a critical question: why you and not thousands of other essentially equally qualified applicants? These universities have an “over abundance” of superb candidates, but those who can convincingly explain why their matriculation will benefit fellow undergraduates, faculty, and the university in general have an opportunity to separate their application from the “distinguished pack.” I understand this is not an easily accomplished recommendation, but I believe it is an very important differentiator.

You have as good of a chance as anyone, but these schools are reaches for all applicants (unless your family donated a building or something) because they are just so competitive. Be sure to have a balanced list which includes reach, match and safety (both academic and financial) schools. when you put in your applications. Congratulations on a stellar HS career and keep up the good work.

have you run the net price calculators at any of the schools and talked to your parents about what it’s likely to cost them? Getting into an ivy is the worst if you cannot afford to go there.

Thanks for your advice everyone! And I’ll make sure to focus on my essays and use them to distinguish myself from other candidates!

Also, if you apply ED, the acceptance rate may be far higher at some of these schools.
