Class Rank: 47/641 Top 7.33%
SAT: 1950
ACT: 31
6 AP tests
Clubs: StuCo, LEO, DECA, NHS, NSHS, Academy Ambassadors, Class Council, etc.
I have held 6 Officers positions 3 in DECA, 2 in LEO, and 1 in Class Council
I also have a paid internship at a recruiting firm.
I have tons of awards including District Winner 3 times at DECA and 1 State finalist/International participant (also DECA).
I've also taken 8 different business classes at my school with A's in them all. I plan on having killer letters of rec. One from an UT alum and another from a former Dean at some small private college.

If you could lemme know if I have a shot at McCombs and even BHP please let me know!

You have a good chance at McCombs, but it wouldn’t hurt to try and bring up your test scores a little. BHP seems like a long shot based on your stats (I don’t know of anyone outside of the top 2%-ish being accepted; class rank is really important to them). But, the internship may help, so I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. Good luck, and hook 'em!

Just being blunt I think you Have a less than decent chance at Mccombs, less than a 50% chance. I would say you will not get into BHP

@catcat34 and @BHPlonghorn other than improving my SAT scores, what should I do to improve my chances of getting accepted into McCombs then?

The one thing you need to get up is your class rank. Get that in the top 5% and you would be in a much better place

You will get into McCombs, just write a great essay and you’ll be good. Your ACT of 31 is what really stands out. My ACT wasn’t even in the 30s and I got in.
