What are my chances of getting into Mcgill?

Okay, so I am currently a junior in the US that goes to a very small school in the middle of no where. Mcgill has been my dream school forever since that is where my mom went. All of my family is from Montreal and I have dual citizenship. As a junior I am taking all of the APs that my school offers APUSH, AP Environmental Science, and AP English. I am also taking precalc. I am in the top 10% of my class and believe I am ranked 6th with around a 3.7 GPA. I recently took the PSAT and got a 1280 (out of 1520) with a 680 on math and 600 on english. I plan on applying to major in Biology which I know is very hard to get accepted into. I was wondering if I have a shot.

For Science these are the minimum requirements for Americans:
Biological, Biomedical and Life Sciences Group
A- average in grades 10, 11 and 12;
A- in each prerequisite math and science;
ACT 30 (Math & Science subscores ≥ 28, others ≥ 26); or
SATI:EB Read & Writing 710, Math 700
SAT IIs: 670 in each subject

McGill does not look at grade 9 nor EC’s. Legacy is not considered. Not sure how PSAT scores translate to SAT scores but that may be your weak point. I suggest taking the SAT’s this Spring and if necessary try the ACT.

As a dual citizen if you were born outside Canada and have not lived there for more than three months you would qualify for the Quebec tuition rate, currently just over C$4000/year.

Good luck!

You should do your best to pull your GPA up a bit and do some SAT preparation. You should be pretty close to getting in. As @TomSrOfBoston says McGill would be very reasonably priced for you. You might want to also consider Concordia which is just up the street and is also a very good university (although not as famous as McGill).

My daughters like you are dual citizens who were born in the US. One is currently a biology major in Canada so feel free to ask (whether privately or here in this thread) if you have questions.
