What are my chances of getting into Rutgers NB SAS?

ACCEPTED TO SAS IN NEW BRUNSWICK! And still in process for SEBS!! SO HAPPY!!

Congratulations FutureStudent. I’m not sure what to think of my situation then, I’m taking almost all honors classes with the exception of some that are APs, have a 3.4 GPA, got an 1810 on the SAT, and they want my 7th semester grades, hoping to get into SAS NB. If I get rejected then I’m suing somebody lol.

FutureStudent123 I got in as well! Hope to see your there, rutgers SAS!

Congratulations to those who just got in-

If anyone is getting rejected from SAS with a B+ or B average and 1600 SATs I would definitely call and ask about it.

rualum i applied EA and haven’t received a decision yet for SAS and SEBS. I just called the admissions office and they told me i may have to wait for a couple of weeks, even though I applied EA and the deadline is today… can they actually do that?

xtermxx I guess they can do it, but they may have told you it will be that long so you don’t keep calling them. Maybe ssSandy got them backlogged.

Just keep checking every day.

would it be appropriate to call them back tomorrow?

You could try, but if you get the same person, they’re going to say the same thing. I would probably just wait. If your stats are decent you should get into something. If you get rejected from everything, then call.

What are your stats and where did you apply?

1590 SAT
3.2 gpa
a lot of EC’s (head of one club) and have an afterschool job as well
varsity tennis since freshmen year (fyi I am a male and I know RU only has women’s tennis)
applied to SAS and SEBS

Actually, I wouldn’t advise anybody to call Rutgers if they get rejected with a B average or 1600 SAT.

According to Rutgers official site, the average SAT for SAS is in the 1700s, and average GPA is like a 3.5

[Rutgers Admissions | GPA’s and SAT’s of previously admitted students, by school](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/academics/admissionsprofile.aspx)

Plenty of people get rejected with 1600s.

RUready if I had a 1600 and >3.0 GPA and I really wanted to go to Rutgers I would take a chance and call them if I were rejected. That area is very borderline for admission.

Congratulations on your acceptances!!!

@rualum - Wouldn’t hurt I guess, but I imagine his point is it’s highly unlikely to change anything because getting rejected from Rutgers with those stats is distinctly possible.

For some people that extra call is worth a try and I would never discourage anyone from taking a chance. At worst, they say no again.

GOT IN RUTGERS SAS TOO!!! FINALLY… @FutureStudent and @Babyangel… RUTGERS scared the crap out of us… LOL… but it was worth the WAIT!! Rutgers Class of 2017! SEE YOU THERE! :)

This thread is one year old, but congratulations to everyone who was accepted! ^ ^

This morning I got an acceptance email to Rutgers Newark and Camden, but NB is still in process.
my sats are 1530
and my gpa is 3.28
in-state
exceptional essay

Do I have a chance of getting into NB?
if not, could i take January SATs?
