Hi I am a high school senior from a very competitive high school and there is a possibility I will play a sport at Centre. I visited and I really liked it and I just got accepted (woo-hoo!) with a $16,000 a year scholarship and I am very excited. However I am planning on going to medical school following college and because of that I am pursuing as much financial aid and as many scholarships as I possibly can. The coach of the team I am considering playing on at Centre recommended that I apply for both the Lincoln and the Brown Scholars Programs at Centre. I have looked into these programs and they look incredible. If I got into one of these programs I would without a doubt go to Centre. I am just wondering what my chances are for getting these scholarships. They are both full ride programs. I have been nominated for both
W GPA: 3.9
my gpa my senior year has been 4.3.
ACT: 31
I have participated in various clubs in high school, gone on service retreats, and played a varsity sport all four years at a national ranked high school for that sport (#3-5)
Last year we were told there were around 500 applicants and 30 finalists for the 10 awards. The finalists we met at the interview weekend had some pretty outstanding accomplishments, particularly with regards to service. It’s very competitive, but it’s a great scholarship.
