I am currently a junior in high school and very interested in attending Ohio State. Here is some current information on my academics:
*Weighted GPA: 4.10
*Unweighted GPA: 3.61
*ACT Score: 31
*Took a variety of honors classes and a couple AP classes
*A member of student council and a community volunteer club
Do you think I have a decent chance in getting accepted? Along with this, if anyone has been accepted into Ohio State can you please provide the GPA and ACT scores you received?
Thank You!
I’m not an expert by any means, but it seems like you got a good chance at getting in. You academics look like a match, I’m not sure about extra curriculars though. Overall you look like a match for the school, I hope you also had good essays and letters of recommendation.
I applied to OSU too! I think you have a strong chance, especially considering your course rigor and ACT score. Here is a link with their freshman profile:

@CA11700 Both of my sons applied last year and this year, both got accepted. #1 had 3.95W GPA, 31 ACT (Engineering/CS) and #2 had 4.25W GPA, 30 ACT (Business). They both had leadership, volunteer work, V sport, etc.
In-state. Your stats are good and look like you should be admitted. With that said, you are compared to who applies with you. OSU gets over 50,000 applications and it is getting more competitive every year. Do NOT let your grades slip. Keep working hard and do not assume anything. In the Summer, the Common App prompts for essays will be posted. You can print them and start “thinking” about one that relates to you or something you have done. DON’T write anything yet, enjoy your Summer! If you are able, consider taking the Summer ACT and the one in September-ish. Merit Money is not guaranteed but that can help if you boost your score more. Even for other school who superscore, boosting sections can bump you. OSU does not superscore, though.
