I know nothing about admission policies at UW.

However, your Math + CR scores on the SAT put you nicely above the midpoint for incoming freshman at that school. UW’s range is 1100 - 1330 for the mid 50% group. In other words, you are closer to the top quarter of admitted students.

Plus you have a stellar GPA, class rank, and decent EC’s.

Some state schools are much tougher to get into for out-of-staters. Schools like UCLA, Cal, UVA, and North Carolina come to mind as some of the hardest.

For University of Washington, you have a good chance. However, since it’s an OOS public, it’s not going to help you cover the OOS costs.

Will your parents pay for you to go to the school of your choice? UWash costs about $38k per year for an OOS student for tuition, room, board, books, etc.

I know that since I’m an out-of-stater, my chances might be a little harder. I don’t know if they have a specific quota of in-state kids they have to admit before they look at out-of state or how that workds. I wasn’t planning on submitting my class rank, because although my GPA is great, my rank isn’t stellar. I’m not sure if that will hurt me, either. Hmmm. College applications are intense!
