i just finished my junior year of high school. my gpa: 2.76, sat:1200 420 on critical reading,380 on math, 400 on writing. i got a 6 out of twelve on my essay. i took ap history this year. next school year im taking ap goverment/econ, advanced anatomy/physiology,ap computer science, and duel credit english. im going to apply to schools in my state.

im really going to raise my gpa this school year to atleast a 3.2 or above. im taking the act in september

when school starts in september i will be applying to angelo state, stephen f austin, texas state, and sul ross state

bump

Angelo State: Low match/Match
Sul Ross: Match
SFA: Reach
Texas State: Reach

Maybe the first two are a little off as far as chances are concerned but take the ACT and see whether you’ll do better…

I graduated high school with a 3.7 gpa and a 1390 on my SAT. I think their test requirements was higher than that, so I signed up to retake the test for a third time. A month before the retake, SFA emailed me that I got in. The main factor to me is that I had 24 hours of dual credit, along with AP classes that I had taken three years prior to being a senior. So already having college credit helped me out extremely. If it’s available, I would take the govt/econ classes as a dual credit, unless you’re 100 percent sure you can get a good grade on the AP classes. Luckily for me, I had really great social studies professors from the past two years that helped me feel more comfortable on the college level.
