What are my chances of getting into Tufts?

I know it’s difficult to tell at this point but, if all that I put down is, and stays true, I would like your opinion on whether or not you think I will be able to get into Tufts my dream school, by early decision.

I am a junior female and I am half Vietnamese (I speak it) and half American/Jewish. I have a 3.934 weighted GPA, which will most likely be around 4.041 by the time I apply. Let me start off by saying that, while I know that everybody might say this, I truly know that my GPA does NOT reflect my work ethic or my intellect. It should be higher, and everybody who knows me agrees with me, even my guidance counselors and old teachers. But, at any rate, it is what it is. My freshman year I had a 3.920, my sophomore year I had a 3.875, and for semester one of my junior year I ended with a 4.083. I will most likely get a 4.444 next semester, which will bring my junior year average to 4.264. I got a 2100 on the SATs and am planning on taking it again in March and will hopefully improve to a 2200+. I attend one of the most rigorous, competitive schools in my state (Connecticut). I am in the top 15% of my class, very near the top 10% but will most likely not make it in by the end of my time in high school. My school does not offer a valedictorian spot, nor does it announce ranks of students unless they feel it will aid them in the admissions process.
My AP Courses over the years are as follows:

Sophomore Year (APs are not offered as a freshman)
AP Biology (got a 5 on the exam)
AP Government (got a 4 on the exam)

Junior Year
AP Chemistry
AP United States History
AP Language and Composition

Senior Year (the courses I am going to take)
AP Computer Science A (I am very interested in computers)
AP Psychology
AP Spanish Language and Culture
AP Physics I
I am also going to take a science research class (this allows you to pick a science topic and research it for the whole year and intern at somewhere nearby to help further that research. I am hoping this will show my drive, interest, and focus.)

I took the subject test for bio but I got a 660 which I will most likely not submit. I am planning on taking the Literature, Chemistry, Math I, and US History tests sometime in the near future.

Here are my EC’s:

In the student government for three years, will be president next year.
In the Spanish National Honors Society for three years
In yearbook club for three years and will be president of it next year
In club that helps with hunger/homeless people for three years and will be president of it next year
Volunteered at a hospital for 200+ hours

I might do a summer program at a college, but that is to be determined.

Played volleyball and lacrosse my freshman year, ran track and played lacrosse my sophomore year, ran track and am planning on running track another season, or playing lacrosse again this year, my junior year, and will most likely do the same senior year. But, I am not an amazing athlete, so it’s not like I am going to get recruited in any way.

I have one teacher I am extremely close with and I know she will write me a very good recommendation (my AP Language teacher). I also know that my AP Chemistry teacher truly believes in me and would like to see me succeed in her class, and already sees an upward trend. She would also write me a very good recommendation. I really am interested in the field of biology. I would like to major in biomedical science or biomedical engineering. I would need quite a lot of financial aid. I know exactly what I am going to write my essay about, and I think it will display my passion, drive, passion, work ethic, and focus. I know it is early and hard to tell at this point, and is also quite a reach school for me. But I would like to know all of your opinions, as you guys know this subject better than I do. I know the normal accepted GPA is 4.17 ish from my school and around a 2200 SAT score. Again, I would most likely apply ED to Tufts. If you really do not think that I have a chance, could you suggest any other schools which might possibly be in my range? Thank you for taking the time to read this, I know it was long but I really appreciate it!

I’d say you are academically qualified to be successful at Tufts - and so are many people who will be rejected. Make sure you know why Tufts is a fit for you and do your best to express your genuine self - not your ‘what college admissions officers want to hear’ self. good luck!
