I know that I’m a sophomore, but I would like to know if I am on track to get into UCLA.
I have a 4.00 unweighted GPA, have taken 4 AP Classes (World, Calc, Chem, Human Geo). (4 on Human Geo) As of right now, my rank is #2 out of about 300 students.
Accomplishments:
-National Award for Technology
-President and founder of a club at school
-Interned at a lab
-Tutored for the past two years
-Library council
This summer I am planning to take a microbiology course at a community college, teach kids the basics of computer science, and intern at a place.
I plan to apply as a biochem/computational bio/bioengineering major. I know I don’t have an SAT score yet, but I still want to know what you think my future college may be. Thank you so much!
I have also participated in the science fair.
Oh and I completely forgot my EC is dancing (have been doing it for the past 10 years) and yoga (teach it to little kids too)
I did wayyyy less than you as a sophomore and I made it into Berkeley EECS and UCLA CS. If you keep it up and get good standardized testing scores, you should be golden
@ It is too early without SAT/ACT scores etc. If you are Asian, you are considered ORM not URM.
You are well on track, but one thing which can derail you at the end is the lack of attention or unnecessary rush in performing tasks neatly and accurately …as can be seen in your posts! You twice missed to include your ECs in your original post! Just imagine if you miss to include a major stats in your application to collages (as often happens to too many applicants)!
(Take it just as a parently advice!)
