What is your UC GPA?

You look like a competitive applicant. Send your ACT only, not SAT. Write some outstanding essays and you have a good chance for an acceptance. Remember that UC admissions have been unpredictable these last few years. Make sure you have some safeties and matches that you are willing to attend as backups. Good Luck.

What is your UC GPA and how do you calculate it?

Apply to other colleges as well as yes, UC admissions are now pretty much unpredictable regardless of your GPA (unless it’s very low like under a 2.8).

You sound like a highly competitive applicant, apart from your SAT score (make sure you only submit your ACT.) Try to obtain leadership positions in your EC’s and make yourself stand out from the rest in your essays. If you can do that and maintain your GPA through senior year, I think you’re set. But remember that no matter how competitive of an applicant you are, the UC’s have been getting more and more difficult to get into; they’ll turn down thousands of qualified applicants each year, so it’s never a good idea to set your heart on one school. Apply to some other good schools and it will work out - it sounds like you’ll do well anywhere. Good luck!!

Your SAT score is a little low for UCLA- so you should have your ACT score as your only submitted test. Your GPA, however, is exemplary, and since weighted is what UCLA uses (I believe, not entirely sure), a 4.25 is great. However, make sure to be very specific about ECs on your app, since everything besides academics seem to be lacking in your thread. UCLA is an amazing school, and I think you have a good chance of getting in (especially with al the APs you’re taking). However, since it is such a great school with sometimes unpredictable admissions, you should probably apply to a safety school you like, just in case. Though I don’t think you’ll need it. A 33 on the ACT is amazing! Congrats!!!

UCLA is a good chance, but just wondering. I thought you had to submit all scores to uc colleges?

UC accepts either the ACT or SAT. Although you have good stats, that doesn’t guarantee admission of UCLA. It’ll depend on the Ad Com and what they are looking for - there’s no set formula. Remember the acceptance rate has been less than 20% so apply to other schools just in case.
