I honestly need to know my chances, because a lot of my friends have applied EA and gotten accepted already. I’m scared that there aren’t going to be enough seats left/the spots are going to be much more difficult to compete for. I am applying for their undergraduate program as a first time applicant.
My Credentials:
SAT: 2230 (Highest individual sitting: 2190)
Math: 760
Critical Reading: 730
Writing: 740
Did NOT take SAT Subject Tests
ACT plus Writing: 32 (Did not submit this)
High School GPA: 4.637 (My school weighs grades as following: AP/IB: 5.0, Honors: 4.5, Standard: 4.0)
-I am in the IB program at my school
-Top 2%
-I took Newspaper all 4 years of high school, which brought my GPA down as it was a 4.0, but I held a manager position 3 years
OTHER FACTORS:
-I am out of state (Florida)
-I am Chinese-American
-I don’t have any alumni connections to UNC
-I am actively involved with the Chinese community in the Central Florida region w/ several leadership positions
-I applied for financial aid
-I am a senior/first time applicant
