I am currently taking a Linux certification course online through Cisco and I plan to be certified in the fall

@Lcat1252 You can’t minor in computer engineering at U of T.

The computer science admission category is very competitive. While your GPA is great, your ACT and SAT scores are not. You would need to raise your ACT English score at least to 26 and preferably higher. Your SAT scores are kind of marginal. While technically they meet the cutoff for general U of T admission, I’m not sure that they would be sufficient for admission to computer science.

EC’s don’t matter for U of T computer science admission.

You might want to do some more SAT and/or ACT preparation and see if you can get your scores up.

I think that you might want to also consider Waterloo and McMaster.

Waterloo’s CS admissions is extremely competitive, probably more so than U of T. EC’s will count for Waterloo. Waterloo will also look for results of their Euclid exam which is held in April. ACT and SAT scores are still too low for Waterloo.
