<p>(The high school, not the summer camp.)
What are my chances of getting into Interlochen? I'm applying for Comparative Arts and Creative Writing, and I'm confident that I'll get in, so I'm not worried about that. The only part is, my academics are a bit "iffy". I'm in 7th grade right now so I have another year of junior high before I go, but right now I'm getting Bs and Cs. (It hasn't been a very good year for me.) I'm struggling a lot in math and have been getting Ds. My GPA is around 3.5.
Prior to seventh grade, I was getting really good grades, but the stress of junior high (and the fact that I lost my glasses for a few months, haha) have really brought me down. So if I get straight As and really good grades next year, do you think they would let me into Interlochen? Would one year of bad grades bring me down? I'm really worried, because Interlochen is my DREAM school and I don't want something stupid, like me losing my glasses, to prevent me from going.</p>
<p>Oh, and the going-to-a-new-school/level grade setback would not be a problem if I were accepted into Interlochen. I really underestimated the workload of junior high and as a result was taken by surprise. I know high school is a lot harder, and I’m totally prepared for the huge workload that I know I’ll get in high school. I won’t make the same mistake again and I’ll work my butt off if I’m accepted.</p>
