What are my chances of tranferring to Cal Poly

I am currently a sophomore at Ventura College and I am worried that my GPA isn't high enough to get into any of the schools I want
HS GPA: 3.27 UW with a couple AP courses and I played a couple sports. I also volunteer for beach clean up and always helped out

College GPA: 3.71 w/ 37 units in: Calc 3, Diffeq w/ linear algebra, Physics 4,5, and 6, Engineering Statics, Track, Baseball, Engineering Graphics and Design, and English
I am majoring in mechanical engineering. Expected GPA 3.8-3.85

The schools that i would like to get into are Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, UC Irvine, and UCSB. My back up schools are Cal State Northridge and fullerton.
Are the schools that i want too high competition for me to even compete to get in? Or do i have a chance.

Bump Bump Bump

bump bump bump

Come on someone please just give me a response. I’ll chance back

I believe your college choices are good, but it all depends on your essays. I have 2 friends who applied to USC. both good students. One took all APs and honors courses and the other took regular classes with one honor class throughout her 4 yrs of HS.They both got 4.0 GPAs The one who took regular courses got in because of her essays and the one who took APs and honors didnt.
