Hello! I keep researching to see what my chances could be of getting in to SUNY New Paltz for the Fall 2018 semester.
My GPA by the end of this semester will be about a 3.2 and I will have about 43 credits completed after 2 years at a community college. I never took the SAT or ACT but I did take AP’s in high-school, meet the minimum 2.75 gpa required to transfer, and took all the pre-requisite classes needed for a transfer student in the Environmental Geochemical Sci program at New Paltz. New Paltz does NOT accept transfer students in the Spring, so if I do not get in I must wait another full year. At this point, waiting that long does not seem worth it just to complete 3 credits needed for an associates. I have letters of recommendation, made the dean’s list the past 2 semesters, and I am of hispanic heritage. Just hoping the high amount of credits completed as well as my O.K. GPA will be enough seeing as though I already applied. I’m legitimately a New Paltz local who would not be living on campus, so I think maybe that would also help? New Paltz has my dream program and if I do not get in, I have no idea what i’m going to do.
