Hi everyone,

I am going to be a senior in high school next year. I go to a "fairly' large public school in Northern California. I am an extremely dedicated student! Never have missed a single homework assignment or missed a day of school. My passion is science and I am completely infatuated by the study of radiation oncology. I'll be a first generation college student. Moreover, I'm half Caucasian and half Hispanic. I'd like to major in micro-biology and oncology in my college career.

Un-weighted GPA: 3.93
Weighted GPA: 4.44
SAT Math: 550
SAT CR: 650
SAT Writing: 590
SAT Bio subject test: 740
AP Biology "Future Scientist" award as a Sophomore (student of the year)

I, concurrently, hold a 3.95 GPA at Santa Rosa Junior College. I've completed 32 full units there.

I am the Student Body President for the 2012-2013 school year. I am the founder of the Latino-Anglo "Inter-web" club. I partake in the Climate Protection Club and am the Head Technical Director within my school's auditorium. Additionally, I tutor fellow students frequently and volunteer at a local elementary school three times a week in the after-school program. I am also a member of the National Honors Society and a member of CSF. Overall, I have a total of roughly 1600 hours of community service. In addition, I am a three year member of the cross-country team and a three member of the golf team. I've played baseball for a traveling team for over 8 years too. I learned how to play the violin at age 9 and have kept up the hobby ever since. I also work at a local shoe store that specializes in running ware, during the summer and weekends.

I'd love some feedback on what you think of my chances to getting into different schools around the country. I've dreamed of going to Princeton and Stanford, however I am not sure that this is a reality. UCLA, Duke, Rice, UC Santa Barbara, and UChicago are all universities that have prestigious biology programs that I'd be honored to enroll in.

If you could give me your opinion on my chances of acceptance to these schools, I'd be greatly appreciative!!! Thanks for reading my long post, your time means a whole lot to me! :) Thanks guys!!!
