Also, it would be nice if you guys can suggest some of the schools you think it would be a match for me.

Most posters will not chance you unless you have actual test scores and not predicted scores.

Hi! Thank you for your advice.
I would like be chanced prior to my taking the real tests just to see if my predicted scores would be a great match, since i don’t want to waste my money talking the tests multiple times.

I am not familar with any of the universities on your list so not willing to make any comments.

Hi!
So can you suggest some of the universities that you think would be great choices for me?

@Hannahhhhhh

If you do indeed get a 1400, you should be a solid admit at any of the schools you list, especially if you have at least a couple of AP course by the time you graduate. You say no APs because of public school and international, but lots of international public schools offer similar courses to APs. If yours doesn’t then OK because the colleges will take that into account. If you mean that you just can’t take them until you are a junior and/or senior, then you should take a couple if you can. I think you would get into to most of those schools anyway, but that would solidify your chances, assuming you get A’s or B’s. Also, being international should improve your chances at those schools, but financial aid might be tough to get.

Hi!
My schools don’t offer APs at all so it wouldn’t be possible to take them.

I wouldn’t be able to go without financial aid because as mentioned, my family contribution is only $10000 (include my future work study)

I would be really thankful if you can suggest some of the ways that would make it possible for me to get financial aid in these schools or other schools that you think would be a great choice for me!

What is your family income and class rank?

You cannot receive federal work study here…and the number of hours you work will be limited on a student visa.

You have a whole thread you started in the financial aid section of this forum. Read the responses there.

Reality…there is NO WAY to give you a good answer with projected SAT scores…and no information about family income. No way.

Re: the schools on your list above…they are all need aware for admissions…so your ability to pay will be considered when your application is reviewed.

Berea is not a slam dunk as many lower income students from HERE apply for the school as well.

@Hannahhhhhh

I am positive there are threads already in the Financial Aid forum that talk about the schools that are most generous with financial aid for foreign students. Finding the group that also fit your stats means you really do have to wait until you are closer to applying. Not just because you should have actual rather than hypothetical scores (plus junior year grades) so as to not waste people’s time, but also because this is a moving target. A school that gives aid this year might have a change in policy next year. So do some research in that forum, but I would wait until June next year, assuming you have your test scores, to post a new thread asking this same question, adding the financial information about your family so that people can take that into account when making recommendations.
