What Are My Chances So Far?

Currently, I'm a Junior in high school, and my dream is to into fashion design. As of now, the school I'm most interested in is FIT, just because it's cheaper and very prestigious. But, I honestly don't know if I'll have a great portfolio ready by then. I'm also thinking about WUSTL; my brother is at med school there, and I would really like a full campus experience. My classes thus far:

Freshman and Sophomore Year:
Just the regulars; as my school doesn't allow you to take IBs until Junior year. But I did take Honors, of course.

Junior Year:
IB American Studies
IB English
IB Chemistry
Studio Art
Japanese 3
IB Math Methods I

My plan for Senior Year:
IB History and English
IB Art
IB Chem
IB Math Methods II
IB Japanese (maybe)

Also, I take design classes on Tuesday nights and general drawing classes on Saturdays. I've played piano for 8 years; but stopped recently because I wanted to focus more on my design. Every year since 9th grade, I've accompanied singers for a festival called Solo and Ensemble, and usually have about 8 students that come my way. Also, I've recently started teaching piano. Other extracurricular activities include Honor Society, Key Club, helping out at Awana, and Fashion Club.

My grades are As, with the occasional A- and B+.

Last year, I took the PSATs as a sophomore without any preparation, just to see how I would do. I got a 195, which I thought was pretty decent. This year, I'm going to study and hopefully become a National Merit Semifinalist.

I'm really nervous about the upcoming years, any advice? Thank you in advance!

If you’re going into fashion design, I would imagine your portfolio is significantly more important than your grades, but you do seem to have a pretty solid course list. It’s a little difficult to say because, honestly, there are not many people who want to major in the same thing you do AND go on CC.
