Georgia Tech got much, much harder to get into this year. The EA acceptance rate dropped 15% from last year, to a 30%. So, regular decision is probably going to have an acceptance rate in the teens. It is much harder for international students to get in, and your ACT score is really low. I’m not familiar with the CBSE system, so I do not know how good an 86 is. Even though GIT cares more about GPA than test scores, your 27 will still hurt a lot.
I applied EA this year, and I got rejected with a 3.73 unweighted and a 34 ACT. I also know someone at my school with near perfect grades/test scores (along with solid ECs), who also got rejected.
but i thought georgia tech considers only math and english
They used to do that, but they do not anymore. It does not say on their website that they do this for the ACT. (although it used to).
no bro I called georgia tech admissions office and said that they will consider only math and english
What are your extracurriculars and awards? Tech looks for application based activities too, not just GPA. They use a holistic review process meaning they look at both performance in academics and in outside-of-school.
Even if they only look at Math and English, your English score is still quite low. I’m surprised they still only consider math and english. The website doesn’t say they do, which is weird.
can u guys quantify my chances in percentages.
